Here is my Bio:
Firas Khalifeh is a Syrian-born entrepreneur and founder recognized globally for his work at the intersection of advanced materials, sustainable manufacturing, and consumer electronics. As the Founder and former CEO of Carbon Mobile, he led the development of the world’s first carbon fiber smartphone, using cutting-edge composites to replace plastic and metal—forever changing how connected devices are made.

Firas’s career spans Syria, Dubai, Germany, China, Taiwan, and now Silicon Valley, where he embodies what it means to be a true global citizen. After launching an early online travel venture in Syria, the civil war forced its shutdown. He moved to Germany in 2017 as a refugee, lived in a camp, and commuted over 4 hours daily—all while bootstrapping Carbon Mobile into a European deep tech leader. His contributions to the German economy were later recognized by IHK Berlin, honoring him as a founder who brought measurable innovation and economic value to the region.

Firas was first introduced to Silicon Valley through a special invitation from the German Consulate on the U.S. West Coast, as part of an official climate tech startup delegation — a turning point that marked his transition into the U.S. innovation ecosystem.

Before moving to Europe, Firas lived in Dubai, where he launched the award-winning Dubai Virtual Mall—recognized as the Most Innovative E-commerce Initiative at MWC 2016. He also developed futuristic retail and government experiences like smart mirrors and interactive displays for clients including Etisalat and Smart Government of Dubai, bridging digital and physical worlds well before it became industry standard.

Under his leadership, Carbon Mobile earned the JEC Composites Innovation Award—known as the "Oscars of high-performance materials"—beating industrial giants like BMW and Bayer. The company also received the prestigious Red Dot Design Award, and Firas was named one of MIT Technology Review’s Top 10 Innovators Under 35. He holds multiple patents related to composite electronics and signal-permeable carbon fiber technology.

Today, Firas is a co-founder of SYNC, a platform designed to connect global tech leaders and support the rebuilding of communities, including those impacted by conflict. He remains committed to contributing to Syria’s regeneration through innovation, talent development, and infrastructure rebuilding—blending his entrepreneurial mindset with deep purpose.

Firas’s expertise spans the full stack of product design & development, mechanical design, electronics, manufacturing and supply chain. He’s worked hands-on in Shenzhen, Berlin, Silicon Valley and Taiwan, and is now helping shape regional industrialization strategies in the UAE and Gulf Region, focusing on sustainable, AI-powered, and automated manufacturing ecosystems, robotics.

Beyond building companies, Firas is passionate about giving back. He actively mentors students, refugees, and aspiring founders—especially those from underrepresented communities—and contributes to organizations like VIP.FUND that build pathways into tech for displaced youth, where he serves as a board memeber.

His journey—refugee to global founder, hustler to award-winning innovator—is a story of perseverance, purpose, and what’s possible when technology is driven by heart to serve humanity.
